Bridging the gap
Established in February 2010 as a social enterprise - Inspire Artwork aims to bridge a real gap that exists between the local community and the arts.
Hastings has traditionally supported a more classical approach to the arts, leaning towards more established bodys to provide the cultural element within our town.As you are probably aware Hastings is admist a huge period of rennovation and modernization, preparing to take this sleepy seaside town into its next 100 years of growth and development. We feel here at inspire that with this push for real change, Hastings is calling out for a fresh, flexible and more alternative artistic body to help take a new cultural diversity into the future.

How are we different?
Inspire artwork really embodies the punk d.i.y (do - it - yourself) philosophy to creating art..
Anyone can create 'art' / 'art' is for everyone.
There are increasing number of major citys in the u.k -Bristol, Brighton, and around the world - Barcelona, Berlin, Chicago, Rio de Janeiro - to name a few..
that embrace and cultivate the growth of graffiti / street art, this in turn, transforms grey concrete city scapes into colourfull, ever changing open air art gallerys that truly represent the minds and souls of the people that live there..
Inspire artwork believes that this should be the future of all citys and towns - rich with free art for everyone - you dont have to travel to a pre designated area such as a gallery or museum, its flourishing on street corners, and now its up to you whether to give it thirty seconds of your time or just keep walking.
Equally, we believe that you dont need to attend expensive art schools to be an artist, its really inside everyone, you just need the passion to start and the determination to practice and perfect your craft.

The positive effects of Art
Art is extremely therapeutic and has the power to heal and uplift, it has the ability to strengthen and inspire a single mind or a whole community.
It has been telling the story of human existence since the beggining, and can remind us anything, from scientific principles to the horrors of war or the value of loving your neighbour.
A community that is full of creativity is a thriving community. Everything we can see, wear and use was created and developed by artists and designers, the application of 'Art' is everywhere and allows countless avenues of employment for those that can see it. We encourage all forms of art and aim to sponsor and facilitate the learning process of groups and individuals for the healing and the prospering of our community.

In conclusion
There have been a lot of progressive, productive and positive moves in regards to art in England, it appears that all art forms are becoming recognized and encouraged, as through the life of art, all life finds joy.
In the UK there has been an ongoing situation where many young people have been excluded or excluded themselves from society, this venture is the middle point where all the Young people need do is come as they are and they will receive the same attention, the same nurturing, the same professional development, the same opportunity to develop their skill and most importantly to know that they are valued.
Every day young people display their love of the creative arts, and ask for help, but up until now an environment has not existed to train young people from the roots up.Rather than trying to fit a venture of this kind into a pre existing youth development operation, why not create a centre dedicated to the arts in all its fundamental essence.
We should all be given the same ability to succeed in life there is a genuine need for this.Everyone at Inspire Artwork has a genuine concern for the upliftment, education and welfare of Young people particularly in the arts. Everybody does matter and not everyone learns through reading a book or in a college environment.
The more that I speak with the young people the more I see that they are truly genuine and good people, some of who are learning what they would like to do and trying different things, some of which just need a little push, some of which made a wrong turn in life and just want to do their best,
some who have not been encouraged enough or believe that they do not have the skill or resource to attain their goal, we aim to do all that we can in our power to assist these young people, so they can become whatever they aim to be in life. With each young person that we help we sow the seeds of reinvigorating the trust, strength, justice, creativity and understanding in our community. Art is inspiration in all its forms. Everybody does matter.
